We absolutely adored this place, a rare gem to come across. If you’re in the area, this place is a must! Everyone was super friendly and makes you feel so welcome. If we ever come back to Connecticut we will definitely be coming back!

I sure do love a silver diner and we were so happy to have found this gem while vacationing in Connecticut for our birthday! (His a day, mine a whole dang month) Being from Philly I’m a sucker for good ol’ fashioned diner food and this spot nails it! We were jovially greeted by the owner (I think the owner) and he was extremely friendly with a warm welcoming personality and a witty sense of humor which we loved and appreciated. He made the experience A+ and if we lived close he’d be our BFF for sure! The food was just what we expected and crave from a diner, salty enough, greasy enough and made with love! The food here is excellent! Service even better!! We will absolutely return whenever we are in the vicinity! I highly recommend Norm’s Diner for good food and good mood!!

We found this restaurant randomly as i needed to take my truck for a long road test so we 45 miles from rhode island and it’s safe to say this trip was worth it. It was a busy Saturday, the server took our name and we waited for seating to open. we didn’t have long to wait at all considering how packed the place was. The staff were lovely and had the right balance on attentiveness and not hassling. The coffee was nice and smooth. no bitterness, no sugar or cream needed i had a “mess plate” with sausage gravy and hash brown patties. It was all delicious. my partner who’s not really a fan of gravy even liked it. the omelette had a nice gooey taste due to the cheese. It had that small diner look and feel which is exactly what we’re were hoping for so much we’ll probably make the road trip again.

Pancakes are heavenly! I have tried their country fried steak and Philly cheesesteak, they are very filling and taste delicious. The staff is very friendly as well :) if you are around in town then definitely stop by! We came all the way from Florida, hopefully we will come back soon!

Steve is unbelievably talented, witty and just made my day since the Super 8 Wyndham was a horror. The grits and homemade corn beef hash is out of this world. I asked for poached and was explained about grill baste and will never poach again! DELICIOUS. Thank you Norms Diner

Norm's used to be my go to place for lunch after my bowling league but I hadn't been here in forever. My parents and I decided to stop in for breakfast this morning and weren't disappointed, the service and food hasn't changed one bit. It was still just as good as I remember. The servers are efficient, attentive and super pleasant, the place was packed with almost all the tables full. Moving onto the food... my mom and I bought got western omelets which had the perfect amount of ham, onion and green pepper in them. And my dad got a ham omelet, all 3 of our meals came with homefries and toast. The homefries were the only thing I was upset about (I assume it was just a fluke today) they were yummy and really flavorful but didn't come out to us hot, they were luke warm. Other than that all 3 of us really enjoyed our omelets and I can't wait to go back for lunch one day. Here's a picture of the menus and my yummy omelet before I devoured it

First time at “Norm’s Diner” in Groton, CT, the place was highly recommended to us. I totally agree. Popular spot and every though busy, you can still have a conversation and hear each other. There are steps that lead up to the main door. They have high-chairs for babies. We arrived around 8am on a Saturday, found a table near the window. There’s a sign that says two or more on Saturday and Sunday for the tables near the windows. There’s seating at the bar. Parking for customers. It’s a one way car park. There’s outdoor seating. Friendly and fast customer service. I love the staff T-shirts. The place feels like you’re having breakfast inside an airstream. The bathrooms are clean, ladies and gents. The food was delicious, even though it was mostly meat (pork) based menu. I had a veggie, with hash brown patties and scrambled eggs. The bread role was lovely and soft, easy to cut into. My husband had the grits and gravy. Look forward to coming back. Great coffee here too! Thank you!

We had the best breakfast at Norm's diner. Even though we traveled from out of state and this was our first visit - Monique treated us like regulars and was so kind and sweet! The food was the real star of the show though! This was the best breakfast of our whole trip through New England! The taste really can not be beat, and the portions were huge! Can't wait to be in town again, we will definitely be back.

If you want to feel like just a number, go somewhere else. I was in New London for 8 days and ate here everyday for breakfast other than Tuesday (they're closed). Great good, amazing muffins, and even better people. They became my East Coast family, and I cannot wait to go back.
